¹ The data were summarized from laboratory sites with standalone instrumentation (VITROS®  and competitive systems) with annual reportable volumes ranging from 750,000 to 2,400,000 tests. A minimum of five sites were studied for each competitive system, with ongoing studies being performed. Study sites included acute and tertiary care facilities chosen from a range of demographic criteria including domestic and international geographical locations.
